CME points:
In past years, RACGP has allocated 30 ALM (Active Learning Module) points for this activity. To obtain these points, attending doctors are required to complete the pre-test before the event and the post- test after the program. Both of these steps are undertaken on-line on this web site.
Similarly in th past ACRRM points have also been approved for the course at the rate of 1 point per hour.
Our skin cancer workshops are approved for Medicare Plus rural GP procedural (surgical) funding. Eligible rural GPs can receive $2,000 per day for attending the training detailed below.
Find out more about procedural grants here.
WRITTEN MATERIAL
Note that a very limited amount of written material will be provided. The course does not include comprehensive notes.
Under Australasian College of Skin Cancer Medicine guidelines, each course with a solo presenter is limited to 20 registrants on a first in basis. As the emphasis is on practical skills development, a small group is an imperative.
If and when more than 20 registrants attend, a 2nd doctor of at least DACSCM qualifications is required to be available to assist during all practical sessions. Up to 30 might register under these circumstances.
Express your interest here. Participation is only confirmed once payment in full is received.
On the final afternoon of the program, doctors may choose to sit the Australasian College of Skin Cancer Medicine diploma exam.
This exam and certification has an added cost is $500 (diploma). This payment to the College is organised directly with the College.
